Learning for Sustainable Living

For many years now millions of people on this planet have been making conscious efforts to make the world a more sustainable place to live for all of us and for future generations. Ordinary citizens, educators, scientists, politicians, activists, designers, and many other professionals have been working hard to reduce humankind’s ecological footprint and to stop further ecological deterioration such as climate change and species extinction.

Social and ecological movements such as the Cultural Creatives and many Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability (LOHAS) initiatives are providing new vistas and possibilities for both personal health and wellbeing as well as ecological recovery. This increasing awareness is now driving a transition from sustainable development towards sustainable living as an integrated approach to personal healing and ecosystem change.

And yet, we still have not managed to generate a widespread shift towards what is often referred to as ecological consciousness. To make a contribution to this shift is our vision and mission and the purpose of this educational website.
